Mo Isom Speaks At ChapelMo Isom Speaks At Chapel

Upper School students enjoyed speaker Mo Isom, former soccer player with the Louisiana State University Tigers, today in chapel.  Isom holds the LSU all-time school record in women's soccer with 35 victories and 25 shutouts. She was named The Atlanta Journal-Constitution player of the year as a senior at Lassiter High School in Atlanta.  As a member of the she was also was featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's Faces in the Crowd section in September 2008.



A committed Christian, Isom shared her story of faith and encouraged students to stand steadfastly for the faith and pursue their God-given talents whatever obstacles or people may come their way.



“I firmly believe the only thing more dangerous than allowing others to put limitations on what you can achieve, is allowing yourself to believe them,” Isom said. “Life is tough. Adversity can be crippling. And it often feels like we’re fighting the battle alone. But guess what, you’re not alone. And your struggles don’t define you.”



“I believe in this generation and I believe in you,” she added.
