Third through fifth graders in the Lower School Chorale recently traveled to Johnson Ferry Baptist Church to perform in front of a panel of judges, who evaluated their skill level. They joined elementary choirs from all over Cobb County in this yearly event. The chorale performed "Song of the River," a lyric folk song, and "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burnin'," a spiritual.
The group scored one superior and two excellent ratings – the highest and second highest scores possible. After the successful performance, the chorale spent time working with a guest clinician then enjoyed ice cream on the way home. Recordings of this event can be found on the Lower School music web page.
