On Tuesday, November 18, the WolfPack varsity girls basketball team hit the floor cautiously at Landmark, but quickly sized-up the competition and pulled ahead, leading 15 to 13 at the end of the first quarter. Teamwork, excellent ball handling and three-pointers by Laren Vanarsdale and Sydney Wingate put 30 points on the score board for Whitefield for a halftime score of Whitefield 45, Landmark 30.
Continuing their aggressive game, the Lady WolfPack held Landmark to 10 points in the third quarter and then completed the win, 67-53.
Grabbing rebounds and leading the scoring was freshman Devyn Wilson with 21 points. Junior Carmyn Cosey snaked through Landmark's defense for 19 points, and Laren's steals and 14 points brought home the victory. Go Pack!
