The varsity tennis teams played Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday, February 25, with both teams finishing victoriously.
Scoring singles wins for the girls were junior Rachel Hicks (8-0), senior Kerry Anna Lemasters (8-4), and junior Meghan Schwartzkopf (8-3). The doubles team of seniors Annie Sickling and Caroline Holliday dominated their opponents winning 8-0. The second doubles team of junior Amanda Braselerio and sophomore Megan Smith almost pulled out their close match, 6-8.
The boys team match was highlighted by a #1 singles win by senior Matthew Landry, who battled a very experienced player, outlasting his opponent 8-6, and a #2 singles win recorded by junior Justin Samples, 8-4. The singles matches were rounded out by a win by senior Bennett Shilling 8-0. Doubles team of senior David Lemasters and junior Jay DeShong held out for an 8-5 win. Fighting hard for the WolfPack was the #2 doubles team of sophomore Holden Hosch and freshman Rubin Thomas.
